Get Some Patience
Patience is supposed to be a virtue. Something that we live to master; however, it is also a trick that many of us do not master in our lifetime.
As the world goes by us, we are hustling and bustling and not paying attention to the things right in front of our face.
Patience can be waiting for the light to turn green without honking your horn. It can mean sitting in your car and appreciating the five extra minutes before you have to rush down the street in traffic again.
Patience can also mean taking the time to get it right the first time.
As we busy our lives with endless clutter, we value that clutter more than we do the silence.
My theory is that we cannot live with ourselves enough; we have not panned out the very problems inside our heads that we push them down with busyness.
That is the theory of impatience. Your impatient because you refuse to deal with the very issues that plague you.
When someone is impatient with you, its because they have a problem, not you.
Often times, when someone is impatient with you, you feel ashamed or a bother to them. Reality is that person who is impatient has a problem with themselves that they have pushed so far down with clutter; they do not have the time to pay attention to the need that you have.
As humans, we are charged to take care of each other on a certain level. I'm not talking about spoon feeding everyone, come on, y'all gotta grow up some time. I'm talking about humans being kind to each other, and if you have a skill and can teach it to another, go for it.
Why do we hold that skill in and call it job security? Why is it if we know a lot, we want to keep it so we can be looked at as smarter, superior, etc.
I was once told that we are only as smart as the people around us. God help me because there are days where I wonder how smart I really am.
That's metaphorical, of course, not as in the actual people around me. As a race, how can we send people to the moon, but still have a bias because of the color of someone's skin?
If we send people into outer space and encounter another species, how in the heck are they going to deal with that when we can't even deal with other humans?
Patience, that is how we deal with everything. How do you gain more patience, learn to deal with yourself. Learn to unleash the demons that are eating you up inside and pay attention to your own triggers.
Take time out in your day, schedule it if you have to, just to do nothing.
Unbusy yourself and pay attention, because you may be the problem instead of the solution!
Until Next Time Y'all
